All most all basic poker whether played in real casinos or online uses a deck of cards and poker chip sets. A standard deck consists of 52 cards divided into four suites such as hearts, spades, clubs and diamonds. The card in each suite constitutes cards from Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten, nine to one. Community cards are just the opposite of whole cards and are dealt face upwards so that they are common to all hence can be viewed by all the players. All popular variations in poker include a combination of whole cards and community cards. There are various betting rounds like pre flop, flop, turn and river where whole cards and community cards are dealt and chips sets are staked after each round.
In most of the poker games a predetermined hand ranking system is followed and the final winner is determined in the last betting round where the hands of the players are compared and the best hand is determined according to the predetermined chart, usually the player holding the highest hand wins the pot and can have the winning amount.
The highest among the hands is the royal flush which is also considered to be the rarely obtainable hand. A player is secure with a royal flush and will definitely win the pot. Since a royal flush is the highest hand no one can defeat such hand but there are other variations in poker (hi/low poker) where the weakest hand can also win and player holding one pair can win the pot in such variation.
A royal flush is followed by various other ranks, after royal flush the ranking sequence are as follows straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair and high card.
